I remember in earlier version of Remote Desktop, sometimes you would get direct pass through in addition to an autocorrected word, which really made things difficult. Get capital letters and many special keys. One trick I have found is that many of the special keys do work, and I can even get normal letters to work if you use the Shift key (the one provided by Remote Desktop, not the one on the android keyboard).

The issue seems to be that the Remote Desktop Android client keyboard is trying to do some kind of delay before sending the keystrokes, maybe so that it can autocorrectĮtc. I can verify that this is the case with at least 3 different remote control programs. On this, so perhaps the issue is related to Mobile Phones only?įor reference the phone I have infront of my at present is a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Weirdly enough I have donwload the application on a Google Nexus Tablet (also running Android) and the password CAN be entered successfully within the Microsoft RD Application We have tested this on four differentĪndroid Phones and the issue occurs on them all so it is not linked to a particular phone. In order to mitigate this issue for now we have downloaded a different remote desktop application which is no where near as user friendly as the Microsoft RD one and this enters the text on Dameware absolutely fine. When we try to enter the password using the keyboard within the Microsoft RD Application the text is not passed through the Dameware Application on our PCs so therefore weĬannot enter the password and gain access to the devices. Other machines round the estate - these machines have passwords on them for security. However, we use a product called Dameware Mini Remote Control to gain further access from our work PC's to We use the Microsoft RD Client to remote back to our work PC's and if we try to use the Keyboard / Mouse within our own PC's then things work fine. We are finding the Microsoft RD Software for certain Android devices does not work with a product called Dameware Mini Remote Control on Android Mobile Phones.
